A short drive to the charming village center with delightful restaurants, cafes and grocery stores, as well as a butchers, pharmacy and post office. The area is well suited for walking, with surrounding well-maintained trulli properties and substantial residences.

The Adriatic sea and sandy beaches are just a 20-minute drive away in Capitolo and Savelletri—also lovely towns to visit to enjoy fresh seafood at the many seaside restaurants. Additionally, both Brindisi Airport (45 minutes) and Bari Airport (55 minutes) are conveniently accessible.

Convenient access to Puglia’s most celebrated destinations, including:

  • Alberobello and its UNESCO-listed trulli
  • The whitewashed charm of Locorotondo
  • Historic Ostuni

THE AREA

Selva di Fasano was developed in the 1960s and here, you can find beautiful multi-million mansion properties mixed with traditional trulli, modern villas and apartments. The area is above the town of Fasano, and the altitude is about 400 meters above sea level. There is an attractive microclimate, and the temperature is about four degrees cooler than the sea level. The high altitude and hills strengthen the breezes, giving a pleasant micro-climate during the hot summer. The main forestry area is protected with strict planning regulations.

Selva has a lovely village centre with amenities available all year, as well as the famous trullo church. Every summer, there are many local events, including the open mass celebrating San Donato every year in early August, held in one of the ravines, where it was a monastery in the 18th Century, and at the same time, a street market. From the top, you can see Alberobello, Locorotondo and San Marco.

The main town of Fasano, with 20 000 inhabitants, has an excellent supply for all shopping needs, and here you find pharmacies, banks, cafes, and bars, as well as butchers, fishmongers, and fruit & vegetable shops.

The distance to the nearest beaches is about 17 km (20 minutes) to either Capitolo, with its many famous beach clubs, or Savelletri, a small charming fishing village. Here, it is lovely to take a pre-dinner stroll along the shore, enjoying an aperitivo at a terraced seaside bar and dine at one of many restaurants serving fresh fish and seafood.

WHY BUY IN APULIA:

Apulia has until recently been called the hidden treasure of Italy, unknown to most tourists who come & stay in Rome, Florence, Venice and at the Italian Riviera. However, all this is rapidly changing because of massive investments in the infrastructure, such as the improved motorways, enlarged airports and the introduction of low cost airlines such as Ryanair and Easyjet. The property prices are low in Apulia and low means value for money at bargain prices for the international buyers. We see more and more foreign visitors coming to Apulia and in our opinion investments will show good growth in value because of the increased demand. Also from north Italians as Apulia has become the most popular holiday destination for Italians. But rest assure, no tourist villages will ever be built because in Apulia the coastline is protected and people are against modern developments which do not fit into this historical landscape. Therefore, with increased demand for a fixed and limited number of properties prices are bound to rise.
